    Feast & Fettle is seeking a well-trained COLD LINE PRODUCTION CHEF to join Cold Line operations at our production kitchen facility located in East Providence. This opening is to lead the PM team, which operates on a 4 day work week, 12:00pm-10:00pm shift.

Each week at our East Providence production facility, we are prepare, cook, package, and hand-deliver high-quality meals from our fresh weekly menu to our retail locations and growing member base across New England.

    You will work in a best-in-class production kitchen facility, ensuring the portioning, packaging, and labeling of elevated menu items with fresh ingredients in an immaculately clean kitchen.     What does a Cold Line Production Chef at F &F do?

    Each day of the weekly production cycle, your Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef will rely on you and your team to facilitate the labeling, portioning, presentation, and packaging of our menu items (entrees, sides, soups, kids meals, etc) with the highest possible quality, level of precision, and food safety for home delivery to our members.

    This work includes the responsibility to:

    • Direct and execute the planning, production, and packaging of cold line dishes, salads, desserts and sides

    • Ensure consistent, high standards of food quality are being maintained

    • Train, supervise, mentor and work alongside a team of Kitchen Associates

    • Ensure compliance to standard operating procedures in cold line operations

    • Record and communicate leftover product, allowing for Production teams to adjust output

    • Manage a team of 5-10 Kitchen Associates, ensuring that food is packed efficiently and well

    • Taste all product prior to packaging

    • Ensure safety standards are being upheld, recording temperatures of food at various stages of the process

    • Enforce first in first out for prepared product

    • Assist with organization-wide demands of the weekly production cycle, including: labeling and packaging, pro-actively maintaining the F&F standard of cleanliness and organization of our equipment and storage across the facility, and helping coworkers across teams, with an all-hands-on-deck attitude reflective of our We Got You values.

    What does a strong applicant for this position have?

    • 5+ years working in commercial kitchen, catering, or scaled production environment

    • 3+ years of training and managing kitchen teams of 3+ employees

    • Experience with scaled food production preferred

    • Able to maintain rigorous, high quality, food safety standards

    • Highly detailed-oriented and able to keep calm under pressure

    • Familiarity with kitchen math- weighing raw and finished product plus adjusting recipe yields

    • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. Multiple times/day

    • Must be able to stand for long periods of time (8-10 hours)

    • Desire to contribute positively to your coworkers and to the company

      • Ability to listen and communicate effectively

      • Very strong work ethic and enthusiastic attitude

      • Tech savvy is a major plus! We like to integrate tech into all aspects of the business

      • Positive attitude; we believe a negative attitude inhibits everything about what we are trying to accomplish as a team.

    What you get:

    • Salary of $55,000 per year
