COLSA is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to provide expert-level cybersecurity guidance and support within a dynamic SAFe Agile development environment, ensuring the protection of information systems and data assets in support of the NASA NCAPS contract.
*Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
- Provides expert-level information Cybersecurity support.
- Applies expert knowledge of concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments.
- Supports enterprise Cybersecurity standards.
- Develops and implements Cybersecurity standards and procedures in coordination with NASA.
- Coordinates, develops, and recommends security processes for an organization.
- Recommends Cybersecurity solutions to support customers’ requirements.
- Identifies and reports security violations.
- Recommends and satisfies Cybersecurity requirements based upon the analysis of CSPP, policy, regulatory, and resource demands.
- Supports customers at the highest levels in the development and implementation of processes and policies.
- Applies know-how to government and commercial common user systems, as well as to dedicated special purpose systems requiring specialized security features and procedures.
- Supports design and development of security features for system architecture requirements.
- Analyzes and makes recommendations of security requirements for computer systems which may include mainframes, workstations, and personal computers.
- Supports design, development, engineering, and implementation of solutions that meet CSPP requirements.
- Provides integration and implementation of the computer system security solution.
- Analyzes general Cybersecurity-related technical problems and provides basic engineering and technical support in solving these problems.
- Supports vulnerability/risk analyses of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development life cycle.
- Performs all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems data assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access, theft, or destruction.
- Ensures that all information systems are functional and secure.

Required Skills
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in related technical field
- Minimum of 12 years of work-related experience.
- U.S Citizenship required; must be able to undergo a background investigation for a position of NASA public trust.
- Prior experience in cyber and IA security activities on a large, complex program
- Demonstrated knowledge of NIST Information Technology Security Special Publications (SP) 800 series.
- Proven ability in planning, implementing, upgrading, and monitoring security measures to protect computer networks and information
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with domain structures, user authentication, and digital signatures.
- Understanding of firewall theory and configuration.
- Experience with SecDevOps and Agile processes and/or tools.
