    Job Description

    As a vital contributor to KIOXIA’s Technology and Storage Pathfinding group, KIOXIA’s Fellow will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of storage innovation. You’ll forge deep, strategic relationships with influential customers and key ecosystem partners, driving collaboration and uncovering emerging trends that will guide KIOXIA’s product roadmap. Your technical insights will be essential in analyzing shifts in technology and the broader ecosystem, directly influencing next-generation strategies. Beyond that, our Fellow be the bridge between cutting-edge developments and our internal teams, educating them on new trends and technologies while representing KIOXIA as a thought leader at high-profile industry events

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and maintain deep technical relationships with key customers and partners, driving mutual value through collaboration.
    • Analyze industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying those likely to impact future product needs.
    • Act as a technical advisor and resource within KIOXIA, educating internal teams on advancements and helping shape technology strategy.
    • Represent KIOXIA at key industry events, contributing to the company’s visibility and leadership in the storage ecosystem.
    • Engage in open source communities, collaborating on storage-related projects and influencing the development process.
    • Participate in the evaluation of potential technology partnerships or acquisitions, providing technical insights for due diligence.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
    • 12+ years of experience developing Data Center Infrastructure class Linux software or Enterprise-class storage solutions.
    • At least 10 years of experience in architecting filesystems, block device layer drivers, or data management functionality for storage systems.
    • Strong background in evaluating new technologies for partnerships or acquisitions, including market evaluation and technical due diligence (5+ years of experience).
    • Familiarity with the open-source industry, including active participation in community development processes.
    • Knowledge of AI workflows, including data access patterns and infrastructure requirements.
    • Extensive knowledge of how storage systems interface with software applications.
    • Strong technical leadership and mentoring abilities, with a track record of guiding teams through complex challenges.
    • Excellent verbal communication and strong written skills, able to convey complex technical concepts clearly.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Prior experience as a member of a CTO staff or in a similar high-level technical advisory role.

    The expected salary for this position is $239,064.00 - 398,480.00.
