    The Ordway: The Ordway Center for the Performing Arts is one of the leading performing arts centers in the United States and a catalyst for vibrant arts in Minnesota. The Ordway welcomes audiences of all ages and backgrounds for year- round eclectic and entertaining offerings, including Broadway musicals, concerts, dance, vocal artists, and new works. Performances take place in the 1,900-seat Music Theater and a 1,100-seat Concert Hall. The Ordway serves tens of thousands of students and families each year through its arts education and community impact programs, and is a proud member of the Arts Partnership, a collaboration comprising the Ordway, Minnesota Opera, The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra and Schubert Club.

    Position Purpose: The Festival Headquarters Assistant is responsible for assisting with Festival preparation, organizing and sharing information at the Flint Hills Family Festival Headquarters. This role will also help to greet artists and volunteers. This position will work the Flint Hills Family Festival from Monday, May 12 – Sunday, June 1.

    • Reports to: Guest Services Staff and Volunteer Manager

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Under the direction of the Guest Services Staff and Volunteer Manager greet and assist artists, festival partners, volunteers, staff and guests at Festival Headquarters, answering questions as they arise, and ensuring all questions are answered or redirect to appropriate staff.
    • Maintain a working knowledge of festival activities to quickly and efficiently answer questions.
    • Assist in checking and adhering to protocols for artists, festival partners, and volunteers.
    • During the festival, keep t-shirts, parking passes, and festival materials organized, and distribute to relevant participants over the course of the festival.
    • Assist with preparation for orientation, set-up and take down of Festival.
    • Ensure Festival Headquarters remain organized and orderly.

    Other Qualifications:

    • Able and willing to work outside in all conditions.
    • Experience working with children preferred.
