    The Ordway: The Ordway Center for the Performing Arts is one of the leading performing arts centers in the United States and a catalyst for vibrant arts in Minnesota. The Ordway welcomes audiences of all ages and backgrounds for year- round eclectic and entertaining offerings, including Broadway musicals, concerts, dance, vocal artists, and new works. Performances take place in the 1,900-seat Music Theater and a 1,100-seat Concert Hall. The Ordway serves tens of thousands of students and families each year through its arts education and community impact programs, and is a proud member of the Arts Partnership, a collaboration comprising the Ordway, Minnesota Opera, The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra and Schubert Club.

    Position Purpose: The Stage Coordinator is responsible for stage management at various performances for the Flint Hills Family Festival. This position will work the Flint Hills Family Festival from Wednesday, May 28 – Saturday, June 1, with hours available starting May 20.

    Position Details:

    • Reports to: Director of Production

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Venue manage a specific stage and all shows scheduled to perform on it.
    • Greet performers and assist with their needs, before, during, and after their show.
    • Trouble-shoot issues and provide excellent customer service.
    • Communicate with union stagehands about the technical and stage requirements requested by artists.
    • Document stagehand hours and complete show reports.
    • Liaison with front of house and other Ordway staff and performers. Facilitate preshow announcers/post show announcers, special events for groups.

    Other Qualifications:

    • Previous stage management experience required.
    • Must be able to move quickly and freely.
    • Able and willing to work outside in all conditions.
    • Experience working with children preferred.
