What you'll do
Prepping cable, building splice cases, troubleshooting continuity issues
Using fusion splice equipment single and mass fusion
Ability interact with customers in a professional and knowledgeable manner
Ability to read and understand splicing documentation
Full understanding of how to operate and read OTDR trace files
Troubleshoot and repair impairments or damages in fiber
Strong understanding of OSP/ISP fiber construction
Familiar with Fiber Cables ranging from 12-432ct
Must be able to work nights and weekends on occasion. When possible, advance scheduling notice will be provided for these off- hour shifts
Bring service to the end customer, and satisfy the work order requirements. It is rewarding work, but requires strong worth ethic and a can-do attitude for success
Ability to be professional in appearance, when interacting with others, and when communicating at all times
Responsible for tracking daily work tasks and reporting production to your supervisor
Qualifications
MUST HAVE a valid driver license
Preferred minimum 1 year of experience
Comfortable with heights and confined spaces (Some possible bucket truck work)
Self-starter but also able to work closely with other team members
Ability to read, understand, and follow engineering drawings and schematics
Meticulous attention to detail, standards, and documentation
