    Job Description

     

    FIDELITY NATIONAL HOME WARRANTY, A FORTUNE 500 COMPAny, is looking for an AWS CLOUD ARCHITECT to provide enterprise-level support and senior direction for our test and production VPC environments. You will diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware problems and determine security and segmentation methodologies for all applications and programs. This position is located in our Henderson, NV Center.

     

    AWS CLOUD ARCHITECT responsibilities include resolving network issues, configuring operating systems and configuring AWS Services. The AWS Cloud Architect will contribute to day to day operations of cloud instances, application migrations, and support activities across development, staging and production environments. You will work closely with engineering and program managers to ensure proper and timely migration, deployment and optimization of the enterprise solution.

    To be qualified for this role, you should hold an AWS Cloud Certification at the Architect level and or a degree in a relevant field, like Computer Science, IT or Software Engineering. Microsoft, Cisco, Linux or similar certification is a plus. If you're naturally a helper, enjoy assisting people with computer issues and are able to explain technical details simply, we'd like to meet you.

    Ultimately, you will be a person your colleagues trust. They will rely on you to provide timely and accurate solutions to their technical platform problems.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Provide operations support of AWS cloud computing services based on business and technical requirements

    Assist with upgrading, installing, and configure monitoring solution of AWS for Windows and Linux servers. You will be supporting applications and systems in AWS so knowledge and hands on experience on deploying and configuring AWS VPCs, IAM Roles, S3 buckets, and other services. Knowledge and experience in eC2 provisioning and deployment and configuration of AMIs. Knowledge and experience in using deployment management tools such as Jenkins, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, etc. Functions include but not limited to:

     

    • · Deployment of automation scripts for account provisioning.
    • · Configuration and Deployment of cloud services such as Kubernetes
    • · Development of automation to reduce lead time for operational tasks.
    • · Research and identify solutions to software and hardware issues
    • · Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including account setup and network configuration
    • · Ask customers targeted questions to quickly understand the root of the problem
    • · Track computer system issues through to resolution, within agreed time limits
    • · Properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams (e.g. software developers)
    • · Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers
    • · Refer to internal database or external resources to provide accurate tech solutions
    • · Ensure all issues are properly logged
    • · Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time
    • · Follow up with clients to ensure their IT systems are fully functional after troubleshooting
    • · Prepare accurate and timely reports
    • · Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals
    • · Perform system monitoring
    • · Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures
    • · Experience working with Lambda and other like technologies
    • · Experience with infrastructure services (IAM, LDAP, Active Directory, etc.)

     

    REQUIREMENTS

     

    • Proven work experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, Systems Administration Network Engineer or similar role
    • Hands-on experience with Amazon Cloud Services (VPC), Windows/Mac OS environments
    • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
    • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues
    • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
    • Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal
    • Additional certification in Microsoft, Linux, Cisco or similar technologies is a plus
