    Job Description

    ​​​​​​​The IoT/Consumer Field Application Engineering team is looking for a talented Electrical or Computer Engineering student to join our team this summer as an FAE Intern at Renesas Farmington Hills, MI office location in best approximation to candidate residence. Our team can be thought of "Technical Sales" and works on designing Renesas Solutions in cutting edge consumer products. The successful candidate will work directly with IoT/Consumer Field Application Engineers and Sales teams during their Internship. An Intern working with the team can expect to learn the consumer market, effective communication with customers and internal teams, researching and learning Power management, mixed signal data processing along with other technical learning during their time with our team.

    • Candidate will be provided a block diagram of a winning combination as a project. Candidate will learn the design parameters of multiple technologies to demonstrate a working model. This will bring in components of analog, power, and digital techniques along with supporting toolchains. The end goal is to expose candidate to a broad host of Renesas capabilities to expand candidates design knowledge and find technology areas of potential focus.
    • Candidate will have the opportunity to meet with customers and use Renesas products, to cultivate and convert design opportunities, position Renesas products, demonstrate technology, address customer obstacles and advance opportunities to design wins. This will be done under primary supervision of supporting FAE mentor.
    • Candidate efforts will be focused on understanding and demonstrating Renesas' values proposition and solving technical concerns. Additional responsibilities include product characterization, design simulations and competitive analysis.
    • Conclusion of internship will culminate in a presentation of working model of block diagram, accomplishments, obstacles, and overall discovery of Renesas technology to their peers and mentors
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Educational Background: Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering.

    • Good understanding of analog electronics and power management principles.
    • Experience or coursework in embedded systems, MCUs, and programmable mixed-signal ICs.
    • Curiosity-driven and a desire to understand how different applications work.
    • Eagerness to experiment with different hardware and software configurations to find optimal solutions.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to engineering challenges.
