Fortified Engineering Solutions (FES) is searching for a Field Inspector in the San Antonio, TX area. FES provides foundation designs and consulting services in North, Central, and South America. Experience in construction and deep foundation systems is a plus.

Position Description:

The position will provide foundation inspection services that compromise of performing and/or leading field inspections and the writing, preparation, and review of related reports. The position will report directly to a Professional Engineer who will review all work. AutoCAD and drafting skills will be needed. Strong written and spoken communication skills are required in this position. Individual must be detail orientated.

Job Responsibilities: · Field Inspection of structures noting observed damages, drainage issues, topography,…

· Field measurements of structure

· Produce scaled electronic drawing of footprint of structure with field observation notes

· Produce written report of field observations

· Verify and record data

· Using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR)

· Work directly with Professional Engineer who will review all work

Requirements:

· Knowledge/experience in construction or deep foundation systems

· Working knowledge/experience with the computer design software AutoCAD required

· Proficiency in using Word and AutoCAD

· Willing to travel on occasion

· Experience in geotechnical or structural engineering a plus
