Job Title: CNC Field Service Technician
Location: Cleveland, OH (90% Travel Required)

Salary Range: $83,000-$110,000
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Field Service Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of CNC machinery and related equipment at customer sites. This role requires a strong technical background in CNC systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation & Setup:
- Install and configure CNC machinery and equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct initial machine calibration and ensure proper functioning before handover to the client.
Maintenance & Repair:
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and parts replacement.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and software issues with CNC machinery.
- Use diagnostic tools and software to identify problems and determine solutions.
Customer Support:
- Provide technical support and training to clients on machine operation, maintenance, and safety procedures.
- Address and resolve client issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of service activities, including work performed, parts used, and any issues encountered.
- Prepare detailed service reports and documentation for each job performed.
- Update and maintain service manuals and technical documentation as needed.
Compliance & Safety:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while working on site.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to management.
Technical Expertise:
- Stay current with advancements in CNC technology and machinery.
- Continuously improve skills and knowledge through training and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in CNC machinery service and repair. Experience with specific CNC brands or models is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of CNC systems, including mechanical, electrical, and software components.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., CNC Machining, Electrical Systems) are advantageous.
Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required for travel to client sites.
Working Conditions:
- This position involves travel to various client locations, which may include long hours and occasional overnight stays.
- Physical requirements include the ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods.
