Field Service Technician: Travels to customer locations to install, maintain, and repair equipment or systems, such as machinery or electronics. Field service technicians play a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction by keeping machines running efficiently and effectively. Your work often requires a combination of technical skills, mechanical aptitude, problem-solving abilities, and excellent customer service. Our ideal Service Technician is meticulous as well as punctual. You strive to provide a great customer experience by arriving on-site on time, accurately diagnosing problems, and completing repairs quickly. B&D Resources Field Service Technicians personally go to our customers' locations for routine, preventative maintenance, emergency, and equipment installations. Our Field Service Technician works with our Senior Service Representative, who will have spoken to our client concerning the initial issue/service at hand. The Field Service Technician communicates closely with the Senior Service Technician to ensure the services are administered.
This position is 80% Travel and 20% office.

Responsibilities
Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches
Manage on site repairs, maintenance, troubleshoot, test tasks, and installations
Diagnose errors, hydraulic, electrical and mechanical problems and determine proper solutions
Produce timely and detailed service reports
Document processes
Operate vehicle in a safe manner
Follow all company’s filed procedures and protocols
Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization
Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings
Build positive relationships with customers
Key Qualifications
Proven Field Service experience
Proficiency in hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical field
Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment
English and computer proficiency required
Willingness to travel, including weekends
Valid Driver's license and a clean driving record
Ability to multitask, communicate and execute clearly
Capacity to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules
Highly motivated self-starter that is able to work independently, meet deadlines and handle various tasks at one time in an ambiguous and dynamic environment
Prior experience or service to the food and packaging industry is advantageous

+5 years of field service experience
Soft Skills
Organized, attentive to detail & functions with a high degree of accuracy
Ability to analyze and solve problem effectively
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Knowledge and understanding of computer applications
Physical Requirements
Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to 8 hours per day
drive up to 8 hours a day
Will exert up to 50 pounds of force to lift, push or pull on a regular basis
Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry objects
Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures
May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis
May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis
