Summary/Objective
The Field Service Technician will operate a service vehicle and travel to customer locations to perform in-field, machinery diagnostics and repairs as required. These repairs will consist of, but are not limited to, complete component removal, disassembly, and reconditioning, following prescribed technical manual procedures. This individual must be able to perform quality work as efficiently and profitably as possible, work overtime and weekends on occasion.
Essential Functions

Perform in-field machinery diagnostics and repairs as required
Serve as an in-field representative for the dealership to provide service solutions and enhance customer satisfaction
Diagnose, inspect, recondition, repair, assemble, and service equipment as assigned by the supervisor
Document machine information and repairs completed on work order, including parts and fluids used
Maintain technical and product knowledge on all equipment sold within the dealerships area of responsibility
Comply with all state laws while operating a company vehicle
Maintain assigned service vehicle in areas of cleanliness, daily maintenance, and inspections
Maintain positive and professional working relationships with coworkers, management, and vendors with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner
Follow all safety rules and regulations and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and the employee handbook
Participate in all company driven communication efforts including department meetings, electronic communications (email and text) and other related efforts
Proactively seek and participate in available company sponsored training to develop skills and knowledge
Maintain prompt and regular attendance according to department and company policies
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works at customer site locations and will be exposed to outside weather conditions, noise, vibration, fumes, odors, dust, electrical shock, toxic or caustic chemicals, heights and close proximity to moving mechanical parts.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is continuously required to stand, bend and stoop. The employee is frequently required to lift or carry up to 20 lbs., walk, reach above, push and pull and use hands and fingers for fine manipulation. The employee is occasionally required to sit, lift and carry up to 100 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance and color vision. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear at moderate noise levels.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Over time and weekends, as necessary.

Job Requirements
Excellent mechanical skills
3+ years of service technician experience preferred
Graduation from related diesel technology program preferred
Trade specific tooling including hand tools and pneumatic tools
Excellent customer service skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to assemble and perform maintenance functions on equipment
Ability to use personal computers and various types of diagnostic equipment
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurements using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
