Position Overview:
The Equipment/Field Service Technician is responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on various aerial lift equipment (including but not limited to scissor lifts, boom lifts, and telehandlers), ensuring operational efficiency and safety compliance. This role demands technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service. The technician will also support the ongoing needs of the Service Department by engaging in professional development opportunities that prepare them for advanced roles. *Pay range based on industry experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Practice safe job practices for repairing lift equipment.
- Proficient use of technology on laptops and tablets.
- Maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment while using a high degree of independent judgment.
- Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner daily.
- Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
- Abide by OSHA regulatory guidelines.
- When required, travel to customer job sites in company service truck for repair/maintenance of rental or customer owned equipment; must maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner.
- Year-round company provided training.
- Other duties assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class C driver's license with acceptable driving record (any CDL class license a plus).
- 3-5 years of experience repairing/maintaining aerial lift equipment preferred; diesel and electric.
- ASE Certified is a plus.
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools required.
- Strong mechanical background knowledge of various engines.
- Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams.
- Must own tools applicable to position.
- Superior customer service, teamwork attitude, and verbal/written communication skills.
- Ability to frequently lift items up to 60 lbs.
