About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial compressed air equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in mechanical and electrical systems, with experience in industrial refrigeration or compressed air systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Servicing: Diagnose, repair, and maintain compressed air equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
- Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections to prevent equipment failures.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Use diagnostic tools and technical expertise to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Customer Support: Provide professional guidance on maintenance, repairs, and equipment functionality.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and reports.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other technicians and departments to ensure high-quality service.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: 4-5 years of experience troubleshooting and maintaining air compressor systems OR commercial/industrial refrigeration equipment.
- Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of electrical systems.
- Certifications (Preferred but Not Required):
- EPA Section 608 (Universal Refrigerant) Certification
- ASSE 6040 (Medical Gas Maintenance Personnel) Certification
- Other Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including accessing hard-to-reach areas.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Work Environment & Schedule
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM; occasional on-call shifts.
- Travel:
- Provided with a company truck and gas card for work-related travel.
- Minimal overnight stays required.
- Technicians may need to pick up supplies at the office a few times per week.
