    Powergen Controls is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Technician. Powergen Controls technicians are responsible for ensuring the end-to-end safety, quality, and performance of power generating equipment. This includes performing installations, preventative maintenance, and corrective maintenance. The ideal candidate thinks critically, can work well independently, and is a problem solver. This position will be based in Phoenix Arizona

    Responsibilities:

    Develop and implement electrical and mechanical technical practices.

    Read electrical drawings and schematics

    Knowledge of AutoCAD

    Troubleshoot, maintenance, and repair electrical equipment and controls.

    Stay current on all safety and technical training; adhere to company, industry, and client safety protocols and standards.

    Perform updates to client electrical drawings, including one-lines, diagrams, and schematics.

    Design, control, and implement electrical systems and products.

    Provide technical insight on the function and best practices of electrical power systems.

    Select products and installation methods to deliver value-driven solutions.

    Wire and cable industrial control panels, switchgears, and MCCs.

    Perform field commissioning and startup activities.

    Knowledge of PLCs and HMIs..

    Complete all site documentation in a timely manner; including but not limited to, weekly time sheets, signed service and repair order, materials used and report writing.

    Communicate technical information and troubleshooting solutions clearly with customer project managers and end customers.

    Ideal Candidate Qualities:

    · Proficient in English ability to speak Spanish is a plus.

    Qualifications:

    · Technical School or a degree in Electrical Engineering or 2 years relative work experience

    · Experience in an MSc is advantageous

    · Must be eligible to work in the USA; able to travel internationally a bonus

    · Must pass a background check and have a valid driver's license.
