    Low Voltage Wiring Technician

    A Low Voltage Wiring Technician is responsible for the wiring, installation, maintenance, and repair of low voltage electrical systems, including access control systems. The Technician must have a thorough knowledge of the principles, practices, tools, and materials involved in low voltage wiring.

    Responsibilities

    Install and terminate low voltage wiring and components, including access control systems, conduit, junction boxes, and other related wiring.

    Troubleshoot low voltage wiring systems to identify and resolve issues. • Test and certify low voltage wiring systems for proper operation.

    Install and program access control systems, including card readers, door contacts, locks, and other related components.

    Maintain records for all wiring installations and repairs.

    Monitor and report any system malfunctions or defects.

    Comply with all safety regulations and codes.

    Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in low voltage wiring technology. Skills and Qualifications

    Previous experience in low voltage wiring is a plus but not required.

    Knowledge of access control systems and related components.

    Ability to read and interpret

    Qualifications

    A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred

    Previous experience as an IT Technician or an IT Certification is preferred

    Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

    Ability to work well as part of a team

    Strong written and verbal communication skills

    Understanding of data privacy and security
