    Overview

    We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Welder to join our dynamic team in Louisville, KY. In this role, you will be responsible for performing welding and fabrication tasks on-site at various customer locations.     Details about pay, travel pay, per diem, etc. will be discussed throughout the interview process. The positon will travel no more than 60 days out of the year. The other days you will be in a fabrication shop environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform welding and fabrication tasks on-site at customer locations, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
    • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to execute projects accurately.
    • Conduct inspections and assessments of welding work to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
    • Collaborate with team members and customers to troubleshoot and resolve welding-related issues.
    • Maintain and operate welding equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
    • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working in various environments.
    • Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively and professionally with clients.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant vocational training or certification in welding is preferred.
    • Proven experience as a welder, with expertise in MIG, and Flux Core welding.
    • Strong understanding of welding processes, materials, and safety standards.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including blueprints and schematics.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
    • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.

    You should be proficient in:

    • Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills
    • OSHA 10-Hour Certification (OSHA 10)

    Machines & technologies you'll use:

    • MIG Welder
    • Flux-Cored Arc Welder

    Salary info:

    $26 - $32 / hr
