Summary – Field Technician/Laborer - Utility Systems Inspections: As a Field Technician/Laborer you would play a key role in locating and performing inspections of underground utility systems to detect and assess potential issues essential to the well-being of the communities you live and work in. While we always encourage candidates with like experience to apply, we have 2nd crew person positions available where no experience is required. You will receive on-the-job training in performing the below responsibilities.
Responsibility Summary – Field Technician/Laborer - Utility Systems Inspections:
- Assist in locating and performing inspections of underground utility systems through the use of specialized equipment.
- Prepare the site for inspection and clean-up equipment following inspections.
- Assist in digging/excavating pilot holes through concrete/asphalt by using pneumatic powered tools.
- Construct or dismantle temporary barricades.
- Following proper safety procedures on all work sites.
- Assist in maintaining and repairing equipment as needed.
- Document work completed.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualification Summary – Field Technician/Laborer - Utility Systems Inspections:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Preferred experience in construction and/or utilities
- Experience utilizing hand and power tools safely
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50lbs
- Willingness and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to walk/stand for extended periods of time
- Possess and demonstrate proficiency in the above responsibilities
