Overview
As a Managed Services Field Technician Level 2, you will be an integral part of our technical operations, providing advanced on-site support, maintenance, and installation services. This role requires a deeper technical expertise compared to Level 1, with a focus on more complex systems and solutions.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and support new and existing hardware and software infrastructure.
- Maintain operational integrity of high-tech equipment and systems.
- Provide advanced technical support to clients, including troubleshooting complex issues.
- Act as a liaison between the infrastructure team and customers, ensuring clear communication and customer satisfaction.
- Travel to customer locations as needed, which may include overnight stays.
- Manage inventory of parts and equipment, ensuring availability for service needs.
- Document service visits and generate detailed reports on activities and resolutions.
- Train and support junior technicians and other personnel when required.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree preferred.
- At least 2 years' experience with PC systems, related peripherals, structured cabling, and common software programs and Operating Systems.
- Familiarity with standard Windows O/S and Office suites.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to perform final configuration tasks on customer premises.
- 2+ years' experience with desktop hardware and structured cabling.
- The ability and willingness to travel.
Education & Experience
- Technical degree or certification in a related field is highly desirable.
- 2-3 years of related experience, preferably in a field service capacity.
