    Overview of Position

    We are seeking a skilled and experienced Field Technician to join our Operations Team. This person will be primarily responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining phone and voice systems here at Groove. This person will use their telecom, networking, and VoIP skills to ensure that projects are executed smoothly, systems are installed according to design, and customers receive exceptional service. The best candidate for this position enjoys working in and outdoors, traveling the United States, and keeping up to date on the newest technology.

    What you’ll own

    • Responsible for executing, and delivering project installation related to Phones and voice systems.
    • Review a Scope of Work (SOW) to prepare a plan to execute the SOW.
    • Review system designs and Bills of Materials (BOM) for accuracy and completeness.
    • Ensure all inventory on the BOM for a project is accounted for onsite.
    • Daily work with the Deployment Manager to prepare, install and test each Installation, including problem solving and suggested solutions for project challenges.
    • Written daily updates to the Project Team on status including needs/challenges/direction.
    • Perform work to industry quality standards.
    • Provide feedback to help update manuals, improve our processes and any areas of opportunity or refinement. (i.e., building scripts and templates, improving security and quality, improving efficiency, etc.).
    • Estimated 75% of nationwide travel is required.
    • Other duties as assigned by Department leadership.

    Experience and skills you’ll have

    • 3+ years of experience in the field installing and configuring phone and voice systems.
    • Strong knowledge of Voice infrastructure, telecom tools and equipment.
    • Experience working with 110 blocks and 66 blocks and cross connecting systems.
    • End point line terminations, Toning / Tracing and troubleshooting phone lines.
    • Understanding OSI model and TCP/IP, and maintaining network services ie; DNS, DHCP, & QoS
    • Upgrading systems including PBXs, IP Platforms, and applications.
    • Experience with PhoneSuite is a plus.
    • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent teamwork attitude. Able to lead and/or follow as needed for optimal team synergy.
    • Resourceful, able to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

    • Estimated 75% of nationwide travel is required.
