Featured on ABC’s Shark Tank, DetraPel produces innovative, non-toxic, PFAS-free coatings for industrial and consumer applications in Textiles, Paper & Food Packaging, and Contract Aerosol Manufacturing. The Finance & Accounting Manager role, reporting directly to the CEO & CFO, is a critical full-time position responsible for support of monthly operating review, financial forecasting, annual budgeting, strategic planning, accounts payables, accounts receivables, payroll, and HR functions. Your team will expand and initially consist of an Office Manager and a fractional CFO. You will collaborate intimately with our core team to strengthen the company’s financials and keep operations flowing smoothly. This is a hands-on role with significant growth opportunities and responsibilities. You must have prior experience working in a startup, manufacturing company, or inventory management. This is an in-office role taking place at our brand-new facility in Charlotte, NC (Pineville area). Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities: Financial Management • Conduct daily transaction postings and bill reconciliations • Oversee customer receivables and payables • Manage financial and operations systems • Oversee Office Manager in onboarding of all new Vendors & Customers Cost Accounting • Work with the Office Manager and Operations team to ensure accurate inventory records and job cost analyses • Create, implement, and maintain internal control systems, costing sheets, cost accounts, performance records, and other financial data with Office Manager • Communicate cost insights to management to boost profitability Financial Reporting • Promptly prepare monthly financial reports including P&L, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Statements • Conduct value-added financial analyses for strategic improvements. HR & Administrative • Manage commercial insurance with the Office Manager • Process company payroll and adjustments, onboard or offboard employees, and ensure HR compliance • Manage company benefits with the Office Manager Additional Important Skills: • Significant attention to detail • Leadership & Management skills • Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures • Success in this role depends on your ability to independently prioritize and manage your time Qualifications: YOU’LL FIT RIGHT IN IF: • You have worked in a manufacturing company and performed cost accounting • You thrive in startups and emerging technology companies • You have experience with managing inventory • You are a finance wizard with 5+ years in accounting, skilled in data analysis and cost accounting • You have experience effectively manipulating and organizing large amounts of data • You are meticulous, organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving. You have a can-do attitude and are obsessed with continuous learning • You are proficient with Quickbooks, WhereFour, or other ERP and accounting software • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting required Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000 yearly
