Position Overview: Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) the Finance Assistant will be expected to support general bookkeeping and accounting within the organization while keeping appropriate documentation. In this role, you will contribute to the organizational finance strategy.
Key Job Duties and Responsibilities Include:
Data entry: Entering financial and accounting data
Bookkeeping: Categorize, record, and summarize financial transactions
Financial reporting: Prepare financial statements and reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements while scanning, filing, and logging account documents
Budgeting: Assist with budget preparation, including monthly budget forecasts, and annual budgets
Expense reports: Check, verify, and process employee expenses
Invoices: Process sales and purchase invoices
Financial records & compliance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial files and records - support organizational compliance with all relevant state, federal, municipal, and philanthropic contract requirements
Direct and coordinate financial audits by outside CPA firms pursuant to the publication of audited financial statements
Bank statements: Track and reconcile bank statements
Provide support to the development and implementation of MSH’s Strategic Plan
