Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and strategic Finance Business Partner to join our finance team. As a Finance Business Partner, you will collaborate closely with key stakeholders across various business units, providing financial insights and support to drive decision-making, enhance business performance, and ensure financial goals are aligned with company strategy. The salary range for this position is $100-130K annually.
You will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, offering actionable financial analysis, budget planning, and forecasting support. Your role will be pivotal in helping optimize financial performance and achieving long-term business objectives.
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
Provide in-depth financial analysis and interpretation of key financial performance indicators, trends, and business drivers. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to assess the company's performance against targets.
Business Strategy Support:
Partner with business leaders to understand key objectives and develop financial strategies that align with the overall business goals. Offer financial insights to guide strategic decisions and improve business outcomes.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Lead the budgeting process and develop rolling forecasts. Analyze variances between actual performance and forecasts/budgets, providing explanations and recommendations for corrective actions.
Cost Control and Efficiency:
Support the identification and implementation of cost-saving initiatives and process improvements. Help optimize resource allocation and ensure that spending aligns with business priorities.
Decision Support:
Provide financial insights to help assess business opportunities, new projects, and investment decisions. Analyze financial implications and return on investment (ROI) for various business initiatives.
Stakeholder Communication:
Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Sales, Marketing, and HR. Communicate financial insights clearly to non-financial stakeholders and assist in translating financial data into actionable business strategies.
Risk Management:
Identify and assess financial risks related to business decisions. Provide recommendations to mitigate risks and ensure the company's financial health.
Compliance and Controls:
Ensure that all financial activities are in compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. Support internal audits and implement best practices for financial controls.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay up to date with financial best practices, industry trends, and technological advancements. Continuously seek ways to enhance financial reporting, forecasting processes, and business partnering.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or CPA is preferred.
Experience:
5+ years of experience in finance, preferably with a background in business partnering, financial analysis, or FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis). Experience in working closely with non-financial business leaders is highly advantageous.
Analytical Skills:
Strong financial analysis and modeling skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders in a clear and engaging manner.
Business Acumen:
Strong understanding of business operations and the ability to align financial strategies with broader business objectives.
Problem-Solving:
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to proactively identify challenges and provide practical, effective solutions.
Software Skills:
Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and ERP systems. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
