About the Financial Controller position

We are seeking a skilled Financial Controller who loves sharing insights, helping others understand their numbers, and developing & implementing controls that lead to improved operations. The Controller will own all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, reporting, and budget & forecasts preparation. They will review and develop our internal control policies and procedures as well as perform financial risk management. Additionally, we will look to you to develop and grow your team technically and professionally.

Responsibility Overview:

• Review and organize the entire stack of company's accounting operations: Billing, A/R, A/P, Job Cost Accounting, GL and Counsel

• Review existing technical accounting issues and develop measures to optimize them

• Create and document business processes and accounting policies to improve internal controls

• Manage the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and and prepare reports on the results

• Oversee company's month-end and year-end close processes

• Perform quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting

• Oversee the preparation of regulatory reporting

• Create timely monthly financial statements and present them to company's executives and top managers

• Ensure the compliance with state reporting requirements, applicable laws and tax filings

Position Requirements:

• 5+ years working in a General Contractor firm

3+ years' experience of working as Financial Controller position

• Sound experience and knowledge of accounting procedures and principles

• Significant experience with general ledger functions, the month-end/year end close process and financial statements management

• Good knowledge of accounting software

• Strong mathematical and administration skills

• Professional certification such as CPA or CMA desirable

• Degree in Accounting or Finance

Compensation & Benefits
