Manufacturing Finance Director -- Detroit or Milwaukee Metro Areas

Position Summary

A Detroit-based food company is searching for a Manufacturing Finance Director to lead its Midwest plants and join the manufacturing leadership team. Our client has an ambitious growth plan and is seeking experienced multi-site finance leaders to partner with and advise operations management. This leadership role focuses on driving cost control and cash flow optimization, managing financial reporting (“owning the P&L”) and supporting key business decisions across all sites.

Midwest candidates with multi-site leadership experience in manufacturing is preferred. Position can be located in Detroit or Kenosha, WI.

Responsibilities

The Finance Director is responsible for the financial activities of the company's manufacturing segment. The position has financial oversight for three Midwest manufacturing facilities, ensuring financial integrity, and operational efficiency, while driving performance and segment alignment.

Key responsibilities include:

• ensuring accuracy and integrity in financial reporting and compliance with company policies, accounting standards, internal controls and external regulations.
• owning the P&L by knowing what is in the numbers, what will be in the numbers, and driving the operations toward its targets.
• partnering with site leadership to provide insights and financial guidance for operational decision-making.
• maximizing return on financial assets by establishing policies, controls, systems, and reporting procedures.

Experience Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance. A CPA is preferred
• A minimum of 7 years experience in a manufacturing finance role, with multi-site responsibilities preferred
• Demonstrated history of working with senior management and operations leaders

Compensation

Base salary may range up into the $160s, plus performance bonus. Some relocation assistance is available.
