We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Manager to join our team and take responsibility for a broad range of financial and administrative tasks. This role is crucial in managing the school's financial health, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, overseeing payroll, and supporting strategic planning efforts. You will be responsible for tasks such as account management, budgeting, financial reporting, and tax filings, as well as collaborating with the Board Treasurer and other key stakeholders. Additionally, the ideal candidate will bring experience in development work, fundraising, and grants, contributing to the school’s financial growth and sustainability.

Responsible for:
Account Management:
Opening and closing bank accounts as needed (with board approval for opening new accounts).
Managing the relationship with the bank.
Ensuring adequate funds are available to meet operational needs.
Monitoring account activity and reconciling statements.
Write and sign checks.
Approve electronic fund transfers (ACH, wire transfers).
Make deposits.
Access account information.

Ensures the school's compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations related to non-profit organizations.
Review all insurance yearly (Health, Liability, Unemployment)

Responsible for annual tax filings and reporting - including W2's, 1099’s, 1096 and unemployment insurance, and annual unemployment insurance audits
Strategic Planning

Human Resources (potentially shared responsibility):
Oversees employee onboarding, including managing benefits enrollment and payroll setup.
Ensures adherence to labor laws and regulations, handling any employee-related financial issues.
Develop and manage the school's compensation strategy with HOS
Administers salary adjustments
Oversees the maintenance of employee records and ensures confidentiality.
Manages the aspects of disciplinary processes addressing the financial implications of terminations or disputes.
