PPS is seeking an experienced Finance Manager for our metal extrusion facility near Eugene, OR. This is a permanent, direct hire role with benefits and a highly competitive salary. The Finance Manager oversees and has direct input in the development, management and reporting of all financial, accounting, and statutory reporting for the facility.
The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline
- Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience
- CPA or CMA accounting certification preferred
- Experience in Finance Management in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Sound knowledge, experience and training in general financial accounting and cost accounting
- Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles
- Proficiency with accounting software
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability and willingness to work hands on as part of a diverse team in a fast moving, challenging manufacturing environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and/or similar software
Responsibilities:
- Management and oversight of full cycle reporting for facility
- Management of plant finance systems including A/R, A/P, inventory, and cash management
- Work with sales and customers to manage credit and ensure agreed credit terms are adhered to
- Oversee invoicing, set up new accounts, reconcile assigned B/S accounts
- Reconcile bank accounts daily, verify deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks
- Bi-weekly A/R reporting to management on all credit customer accounts
- Ensure vendor invoices are processed timely, 3-way match adherence and payments are charged to the appropriate accounts
- Provide outside auditors with assistance; gather necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit
- Process payroll bi-weekly as well as all the associated payroll reporting; monthly vacation reconciliations and accruals completed
- Raw material and scrap tracking for billing purposes
- Other duties as assigned
As a Finance Manager, you will also be tasked with:
- Ensuring that the assets of the company are properly accounted for and protected from mishandling, theft or fraud through the implementation and management of suitable systems and control of procedures.
- Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of accounting and financial management information.
- Responsibility for the training and motivation of the department’s staff, as well as the hiring of temporary or replacement personnel as required.
- Working closely with management and Corporate Finance, understanding and managing costs and budgets and actively participate as a key member of the Facility Management Team.
- Developing cost accounting detail and requisite reporting to provide accurate information to Operations and Management to manage costs and drive improvement.
- Work with the Finance Team, Internal Departments and External Agencies to manage payments and ensure compliance (Workers Comp, Tax Reporting, Payroll Administration, Benefits Administration).
- Meeting deadlines, developing processes and completing assignments ensuring accountability and accuracy within the areas of responsibility.
- Providing leadership within the Accounting Department and as part of the Management Team.
