  • Responsibilities

    We are seeking a Finance Manager to join a well-established health care organization in Indianapolis. This role offers 100% remote work. Candidates must reside in Indiana, and they must either be willing to travel to Indianapolis as needed for occasional training and meetings.

    The Finance Manager will play a critical role in the preparation of accurate financial reports, summarizing and forecasting the organization's financial position. This position will oversee financial analysis, prepare, and review budgets, and provide analytics supporting strategic decision-making while contributing to the implementation of long-term financial goals.

    Responsibilities:

    • Contribute to the preparation of monthly financial reports that accurately summarize and project the company’s financial standing.
    • Represent the organization at state-mandated meetings, providing updates on key developments and issues.
    • Monitor state payments and generate detailed internal reports and analyses.
    • Prepare and coordinate the analysis of financial data, including trends, costs, revenues, expenses, and budget variances.
    • Assist in cash management activities to optimize financial efficiency and liquidity.
    • Support the development and preparation of the annual operational budget.
    • Document, review, and update accounting controls and procedures in alignment with operational changes.
    • Aid in the preparation of quarterly and year-end financial statements in compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Provide support during financial audits conducted by regulatory bodies and independent auditors.
    • Participate in quality assessments and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial operations.
    • Stay current on industry trends and developments through professional reading, seminars, and conferences.
    • Maintain technical expertise in financial processes and ensure proficiency in organizational financial functions.
    • Perform additional duties as needed to support departmental efficiency and overall company operations.

    Requirements:

    • Five (5) years of experience in a complex finance or accounting role is required.
    • Five (5) years of experience in a supervisory role leading a team is highly preferred. A minimum of three (3) years in a supervisory role is required.
    • Financial auditing experience is preferred.
    • Strong computer skills are required, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
    • SQL experience is helpful.
