Financial Analyst

We have an opportunity to join the Elevation team as a Financial Analyst at our Winter Park headquarters. The successful candidate for this position will report to the Vice President of Finance and Investments and be responsible for assisting the Investment Department in underwriting new investments, asset and portfolio modeling, site visits, due diligence management and closing process. Overall level of responsibility will depend on experience and some level of travel will be required. We are looking for an individual with the ability to perform independently, as well as be a part of a team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the Investments Department in the analysis of new acquisition opportunities and strategic disposition initiatives
- Participate in the preparation of Investment Committee Memos, Asset Summary Reports and detailed financial models
- Coordinate due diligence efforts for new acquisition opportunities, strategic refinances, and property dispositions
- Conduct property level inspections as required for due diligence and asset management functions
- Participate in the Investment Committee meeting to determine improvements and updates to the model as well as the investment process
- Complete ad hoc financial analysis projects for the Investments Department
- Routinely update Asset Management reports and analyze property performance to identify opportunities for optimization or cost savings
- Assist the VP of Investments and Finance with lender and insurance compliance initiatives
- Performs other duties as assigned or as necessary
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from an accredited institution
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Real Estate preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in a finance or accounting role preferred
- Advanced understanding of Excel and financial real estate modeling inclusive of discounted cash flow models and carried interest waterfall structures.
- Strong understanding of Commercial Real Estate
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Hours/Travel
- Usually work a standard 40–50-hour week.
