    Job Description

    The Financial Analyst II provides review and analysis of the general ledger. The financial analyst focuses on maintaining accurate records that comply with GAAP principles of accounting. The Financial Analyst is deeply involved in the month end close activities and monthly reconciliations.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assist with month end close
    • Reconcile general ledger accounts including bank statements
    • Prepare and post standard and non-standard journal entries
    • Perform analytical procedures on G/L accounts during month end review
    • Analyze month end department expenses
    • Respond to account analysis questions submitted by Division office
    • Serve as the lead in gathering information for tax reporting
    • Utilize Avalara Tax Software to prepare monthly and quarterly sales tax returns
    • Assist with the preparation of the annual Plan and quarterly forecast, primarily balance sheet forecasting
    • Lead person to comply with Federal and State surveys
    • Main administrator of our PCARD program
    • Calculate, track and coordinate agent commission payments, working closely with Sales Department
    • Thinks outside the box and finds ways to streamline processes
    • Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
    • Manufacturing / Cost Accounting
    • General Ledger experience
    • Experience using LN or other ERP systems, Hyperion, and Business Intelligence (BI)
    • 1-5 years of experience in accounting
    • Experience with advanced Excel applications
