One of our clients. needs a Mid-Level Financial Analyst at Washington, DC for a contract position.
Position: Mid-Level Financial Analyst
Position Type: Full - Time
Travel: Hybrid
Clearance: DOD Secret
Responsibilities:
Provide daily support to the Financial Management team.
Provide financial analyst services including data gathering, budget and financial analysis, and trend analysis for contracts and products.
Be responsible for various financial functions such as budgeting, auditing, forecasting, and analysis.
Collect and review financial data from various sources.
Create, maintain, and update financial databases and spreadsheets, and generate various financial reports as required.
Maintain appropriate records and documentation.
Provide financial models and financial statements, apply forecasting techniques, and evaluate performance against budget submissions.
Coordinate with the customer and field activities to establish funding priorities.
Provide recurring metrics reports to the Business Financial Manager.
Track and reconcile funds obligation and expenditure status.
Assist Financial Analysts in resolving accounting discrepancies.
Respond to financial data calls.
Review and develop analytical and technical input needed in order to evaluate documentation and development of briefs to ensure accurate, timely, and essential information is provided to decision-makers.
Prepare briefs for audiences up to and including the Flag level.
Required Skills:
Have strong leadership and problem-solving skills to assist with the daily operation of the program office.
Take the necessary steps to overcome problems the program office faces.
An effective candidate must possess the confidence to take initiative and make decisions each day that can impact the program office’s daily operations.
Have a current or active DoD Secret security clearance.
Have a Bachelors
Have 2.5 – 7 years of experience with DoD acquisition
Have strong written and oral communication skills.
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Proven excellent interpersonal skills.
Has the ability to multitask effectively.
Has the ability to pay attention to details and to work based on available data and not guesswork.
Has the ability to use the entire Microsoft Office Suite effectively, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint ,and Access.
Has the ability to solve problems.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required
