  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    The Financial Analyst will play an integral role in the day-to-day financial administration and variance analysis of NBC Sports’ SCORE application. SCORE is an application for users to plan, crew, execute and approve payment for events across NBC Sports. The analyst will collaborate with the Olympics Production and Operations teams to process payments to vendors providing goods and services to broadcast the Olympic Games. Additional responsibilities include the budgeting and analysis of production budgets and, ad hoc projects.

    Responsibilities:

    • Finance administration of SCORE:
      • Reviews and approves all Score eChange requests and monitors integrity of the data
      • Lead analyst for reporting and variance analysis on all Score data
      • Responsible for issuing, reconciling and reporting all games time compensation related payments (including talent)
      • Oversee on a weekly basis that hours are tracked and approved for all games time hires through Score Timesheets
    • Ownership of accounts payable and foreign wire processes:
      • Accurately code invoices
      • Coordinate approvals
      • Update operators and team members on payment status, and work with vendors as needed
      • Accurately create Authority for Approvals (AFP) in Payment Tracker
      • Enter foreign wires in online banking system
    • Assist in monthly and quarterly closing and estimates: including journal entries, pacing and variance analysis
    • Update and maintain spend forecast for approved contracts
    • Participate in financial meetings with operators to assist in preparing budgets and forecasts
    • Assist in ad hoc projects, as necessary
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Basic Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including familiarity with utilizing various formulas and functions
    • Solid technical aptitude, including ability and desire to learn company systems and tools
    • Must be highly organized and detail-oriented
    • Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills
    • Excellent oral and written communications skills

    Desired Characteristics:

    • Experience with SAP

    • Willingness to work overtime, and on weekends with short notice
    • Must be willing to work in Stamford, CT
    • Hybrid : This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week
