SPIN Global is a Maryland-based public benefit corporation that exists to disrupt disasters from neighborhoods to nations. We are seeking qualified applicants to build a deployment-ready cadre, prepared to support response operations as opportunities arise. Applicants must possess a FEMA Entry on Duty (EOD).
Responsibilities
- Perform financial analysis and budget evaluations for disaster recovery projects to ensure alignment with FEMA guidelines.
- Prepare financial reports and documentation to support funding requests and project audits.
- Utilize FEMA's Grants Portal to manage financial records and maintain transparency.
- Collaborate with project managers and program delivery teams to optimize financial planning and resource allocation.
- Conduct compliance reviews and provide input on determination memorandums and appeals.
- Identify and implement financial best practices to improve project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Stay updated on FEMA training requirements, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in a related field.
- Completion of the following FEMA training courses preferred:
- IS-1000: Public Assistance Program and Eligibility
- IS-1001: The Public Assistance Delivery Model Orientation
- IS-1002: FEMA Grants Portal - Transparency at Every Step
- IS-1004: The FEMA Site Inspection Process
- IS-1018: Determination Memorandums and Appeals
- 7116: Program Delivery Manager
- 7117: Site Inspection
- Proficiency in financial analysis software and tools (e.g., Excel, SAP, QuickBooks).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Work onsite in North Carolina.
- EOD Required.
