  • Responsibilities

    SPIN Global is a Maryland-based public benefit corporation that exists to disrupt disasters from neighborhoods to nations. We are seeking qualified applicants to build a deployment-ready cadre, prepared to support response operations as opportunities arise. Applicants must possess a FEMA Entry on Duty (EOD).

    ‬‬‬ Responsibilities

    • Perform financial analysis and budget evaluations for disaster recovery projects to ensure alignment with FEMA guidelines.
    • Prepare financial reports and documentation to support funding requests and project audits.
    • Utilize FEMA's Grants Portal to manage financial records and maintain transparency.
    • Collaborate with project managers and program delivery teams to optimize financial planning and resource allocation.
    • Conduct compliance reviews and provide input on determination memorandums and appeals.
    • Identify and implement financial best practices to improve project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
    • Stay updated on FEMA training requirements, policies, and procedures.

    Requirements

    • Education & Experience:
      • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
      • 5 years of experience in a related field.
    • Completion of the following FEMA training courses preferred:
      • IS-1000: Public Assistance Program and Eligibility
      • IS-1001: The Public Assistance Delivery Model Orientation
      • IS-1002: FEMA Grants Portal - Transparency at Every Step
      • IS-1004: The FEMA Site Inspection Process
      • IS-1018: Determination Memorandums and Appeals
      • 7116: Program Delivery Manager
      • 7117: Site Inspection
    • Proficiency in financial analysis software and tools (e.g., Excel, SAP, QuickBooks).
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
    • Work onsite in North Carolina.
    • EOD Required.
