Financial Analyst Job Description
Our client is a very reputable publicly traded Global Professional Service Firm headquartered in Downtown LA. They are seeking an up and coming dynamic Financial Analyst to join their Corporate Finance Team. The Financial Analyst will receive a generous total compensation package. Scope of Responsibilities:
As a Financial Analyst, you will contribute your expertise to providing financial and analytical support for the firm. Your responsibilities as a Financial Analyst will include monitoring and responding to requests sent to the firm's internal Financial Information Center (FIC) and responding to other ad-hoc requests from attorneys and management while accomplishing these and other critical functions:
- Preparing recurring and ad-hoc financial analysis and reports related to client statistics and firm financial metrics.
- Applying financial and analytical skills to create analysis and respond to various requests.
- Utilizing Data-Mining and Database mechanisms to obtain data and then organizing the information to facilitate effective analysis and create analytical reports.
- Utilizing Database mechanisms, Microsoft Access, Visual Basic & SQL to develop and improve reporting processes.
- Maintaining detailed records documenting procedures and assumptions, methodologies and sources of information employed during the performance of all analytical tasks.
- Working to ensure quality professional product, as well as delivery of all work within established time frames.
- Making recommendations and working with management to develop procedures, processes, and workflow to ensure maximum efficiency in the FIC department.
- Developing standard tools for reporting and analyzing data.
- Completing special projects on various issues as needed.
- Supporting FIC team members in completing tasks as required.
- Promoting effective work practices, works as a team member, and shows respect for co-workers.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field
- 2+ years of financial analysis experience in a legal or professional services environment is desired.
- Experience creating and maintaining financial models highly preferred.

- The ability to work independently to research, analyze, and develop financial information, and the ability to maintain flexibility with respect to assigned tasks due to changing deadlines, changing deliverables and changing task priorities.
