Job Summary:
We are seeking a Financial Controller to join our team at our Stuart, FL USA headquarters. This senior-level role will be responsible for overseeing our USA accounting/financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, management of lower-level accounting staff and compliance with tax requirements.

Date of Commencement: ASAP
Hours: 8:00AM – 5:00PM EST
Salary/Compensation: $80,000 - $110,000
Responsibilities:
Payroll
Processing of bi-weekly payroll (via ADP) for approximately 25 hourly service yard staff
Onboarding of all new staff within the payroll system
Ensuring accurate payroll deductions are withheld for employee-pay portion of company benefits and legal garnishments
Prepare monthly Labor Utilization Report and verify Accounts Receivable staff has accounted for all billable hours
Maintain Paid Time Off (PTO) accrual records
Monitor bank account balances and coordinate funds transfers when necessary
Prepare and post hourly payroll journal entries into Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
Provide reporting to and communicate with overseas staff (primarily via email)
Accounting/Finance
· Administrator for various bank accounts
· Administrator for and management of company credit card programs
· Communicate with key vendors, bank representatives, internal staff and accounting and legal professionals as required
· Approve and process outgoing ACH, wire, check, debit card and credit card payments
· Prepare and update various internal reports
· Oversee and review credit card reconciliation work performed by internal staff
· Train and coach lower-level accounting staff and oversee/review accounts payable data entry
· Responsible for accurate data entry into ERP system for several entities
· Set up required Work Orders for assets made in-house, events and boat shows
· Ensure work-in-progress (WIP) is complete for month-end close
· Update currency exchange rates in ERP system monthly
· Month-end closing duties
· Maintain fixed asset/depreciation register and run fixed asset report at month-end
· Prepare and post various journal entries
· Prepare and process annual 1099-NEC and 1099-MISC tax forms
· Track state sales tax requirements and communicate with engaged accounting firm to ensure timely and accurate filing of sales tax returns
· Communicate with engaged accounting firm to ensure timely filing of state and federal income tax returns
· Fulfill internal and external auditing requirements, when necessary
· Provide reporting to and communicate with overseas staff (primarily via email)
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting (or related field) and 7+ years of experience in a related position with oversight of financial operations
Preferred: current and/or past experience as a Controller (or similar position)
ERP system experience
Strong communication skills and work ethic
Detail oriented, highly accurate and organized
Proficiency in Microsoft office suite
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Requirements:
· Able to stand, walk and work several hours between rest periods
· Able to reach, bend, climb, grasp, kneel, push, pull, and twist as needed
· Must speak, read and write English in a clear and concise manner
