In this role, you will work closely with financial advisors, supporting them by conducting research, validating data, and delivering accurate, tailored financial advice to clients. Ideal for individuals aspiring to become Certified Financial Planners (CFP), this position provides the opportunity to gain industry experience, work directly with clients, and contribute to the firm’s growth.
Financial Planning Associate Responsibilities:
- Client Service Support: Manage client service tasks, including onboarding, meeting preparation, note-taking, and drafting agendas. Ensure accurate documentation and compliance, while maintaining up-to-date client records.
- Meeting Preparation: Create customized materials for client meetings, such as presentations and financial reports, tailored to individual client goals.
- Advisor Collaboration: Provide direct support to advisors, ensuring smooth management of client activities. Coordinate with service associates for efficient workflow.
- Professional Development: Pursue CFP certification and stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
Financial Planning Associate Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in financial planning, wealth management, in a financial services firm or wealth management organization, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Expertise in financial planning software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Series 65 required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
- A strong desire to pursue CFP certification, demonstrating a commitment to professional growth and development.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for client rapport and explaining complex financial concepts.
- Dedication to continuous professional growth and staying current with industry trends and best practices.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high moral standards and client information confidentiality.
