    Erik Gutierrez - Field Director:

    How long with NM? Joined in 2020.

    Career Accolades? Erik quickly grew his practice, helping the Santa Monica office become one of the top-producing firms in the region. He has earned numerous awards, including Pacesetter 40 and qualifying for FastTrack Academy.

    Passionate About? Erik is a gifted athlete with a background in baseball at Lipscomb University and maintains an interest in golf and pickleball. He is also active in his church and community.

    Ulises Leach - Lead Recruiter:

    How long with NM? Joined Northwestern Mutual in November 2022 as a recruiter in the Santa Monica office.

    Prior Experience? Ulises served in the United States Navy for 4 years, then graduated with a degree in Political Science from UCLA in 2020. He has since focused on helping veterans transition into civilian careers.

    Passionate About? Ulises enjoys connecting with individuals looking to pivot their careers and find opportunities with Northwestern Mutual. Outside of work, he loves spending time with his fiancé, Alexa, their two dogs, Coqueta and Chata, and attending Los Angeles sporting events.

    Devin Salinas - Managing Director:

    How long with NM? Joined NM in 2009 as an intern and became a full-time Financial Representative in 2010.

    Prior Experience? Studied Finance and Economics at Linfield College. Devin was one of the top producing College Financial Representatives during his internship and has been a perennial Lives Leader Summit qualifier since 2012.

    Passionate About? Enjoys working with entrepreneurs, business owners, and retirement clients. Outside of work, he is a passionate husband, “girl dad” and has completed many long-distance triathlons, where he has been recognized as an Ironman All World Athlete and multi-time USAT All American.

    Kyle Billings – Director of Development:

    How long with NM? Joined NM in January 2022 and was promoted to Director of New Advisor Development within three months.

    Prior Experience? Kyle has a background in journalism and marketing, with an MBA from Pepperdine University. He previously worked as a Champagne Specialist, Marketing Manager for Moet Hennessy, and Director of Marketing for an Australian Non-Alcoholic Spirits Brand.

    Passionate About? Kyle is passionate about mentoring and has led the Class of 2024 to the number 1 position nationwide. He is also an Advanced Sommelier, one of fewer than 700 in the world, and is currently studying for his CFP designation.

    Dominique Jackson – Field Director:

    How long with NM? Dominique has been with Northwestern Mutual since the start of her career and has seen consistent year-over-year growth.

    Career Accolades? She is the top-producing new advisor in the network, qualifying for FastTrack Academy and advancing into leadership early in her career.

    Passionate About? Dominique is passionate about travel and making an impact, and has been instrumental in building one of the top district offices in California.

    Eric Cho – Financial Representative:

    How long with NM? Eric joined Northwestern Mutual in August 2024, early in his career, and has quickly demonstrated his dedication and ambition.

    Early Career Acceleration? A graduate of Berkeley, Eric comes from a family of entrepreneurs and has a strong foundation in relationship-building and productivity. Despite being early in his career, he has already set goals for leadership and is off to a great start in building enterprise value.

    Passionate About? Eric is passionate about building a lasting financial practice and helping clients achieve their financial goals. He is committed to financial planning and, as a family man, values work-life balance with his wife and child.

    Key Responsibilities: As a Financial Planner, your primary role will be to engage with clients to understand their comprehensive financial needs, providing personalized guidance to help them achieve their financial protection and planning goals. You will design and implement tailored strategies that safeguard clients' assets, income, and overall financial well-being, ensuring their long-term security. Regularly reviewing and updating clients' financial plans and insurance policies to reflect any changes in their circumstances or goals will be crucial to ensure continuous protection. Additionally, you will cultivate a robust network of clients through referrals, active community involvement, and professional associations.

    Qualifications: We prefer candidates with a bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related discipline. While prior experience in insurance, financial services, or business development is beneficial, it is not mandatory. Successful candidates will possess excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, strong analytical skills, and the capability to build lasting client relationships. We welcome individuals from business development-oriented organizations with uncapped earnings potential, including those from Medical Device, Education (teachers, administrators), Logistics, Solar, Payroll Services, Tech Business Development, Real Estate, Auto Rental and others. You will be required to obtain state insurance licenses, with training provided and sponsorship considered.
