Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Financial Analyst.
In this role, the successful candidate as the Financial Planning Analyst will work closely with a small core Financial Planning team to assist in the development of the health systems annual budget and long range financial plan. The Analyst will primarily work to 1. maintain complex financial models used in the forecasting process and 2. gather internal and external data to prepare analyses such as financial comparisons to other academic medical centers. The Analyst will also assist in a variety of ad hoc CFO projects and be involved in the preparation of executive level deliverables. A successful candidate will have a foundational knowledge of financial reporting and U S GAAP and be able to think nimbly on their feet.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the maintenance of complex financial models and forecasts to support strategic decision making and the long range financial plan
2. Participate in the forecasting and modeling of financial metrics such as liquidity and leverage ratios
3. Research and gather the latest financial disclosures and metrics for local and nationwide peers; develop knowledge of industry trends and the competitive landscape
4. Prepare peer financial analyses and trends against national benchmarks
5. Prepare detailed reports and presentations on various financial initiatives for the Health System such as ROI IRR and cost benefit analyses
6. Understand budgeting and financial planning methodologies Possess an overall understanding of complex enterprise level financial concepts nbsp;
7. Serve as a key contributor on special projects reports and ad hoc analyses as needed Perform other duties as assigned
8. Monitor and report on the progress of strategic initiatives identifying any areas of concern or opportunities for improvement
9. Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts related to strategic plans
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor Degree in Business Accounting Finance or related field with 1-3 years relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Superior communication skills both written and verbal Possess strong customer service and problem solving skill sets

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $67,771.14 - $79,500.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
