Job Description
About US
ClearGen, LLC is a sustainable infrastructure investment vehicle formed by Blackstone to provide enabling capital to the energy transition. Our business works with development partners pursuing new solutions in distributed generation, microgrids, energy efficiency and EV charging to source low-cost funding from Blackstone Credit and the capital markets. We are building a portfolio consisting of both operating assets and structured interests and have already established a balance sheet of nearly $800 million, including long-dated Energy as a Service projects, a solar loan portfolio and a portfolio of minority interests in wind farms. To date, Blackstone Credit has committed $250 million to ClearGen, and we intend to build a portfolio in excess of $1 billion in total asset value.
We are a lean, nimble team formed in September 2020. Although backed by substantial capital, ClearGen is an early-stage company, with a flat structure and an “all hands” mentality. We are energetic, highly collaborative, and spirited. We value the input of everyone, we communicate with transparency, and we invite constructive dissent to find the right paths forward in new markets. Our employees enjoy a wide range of responsibilities, challenging assignments, and the ability to see and feel the impact of their contribution in meaningful ways. Professional growth and development abound at ClearGen - where continuous learning is a central theme and successful careers are launched or accelerated. Headquartered in Ballantyne we gather in person regularly as we nurture and grow as a team.
