In fact, this past season, we partnered with Javonte Graves-Billips and The Citadel, Military College of South Carolina, to raise $5,850 for Alex’s Lemonade Stand in the fight against pediatric cancer.     Martim Cohen – Growth and Development Director and Financial Advisor:

    Prior Experience? Martim was the Revenue Manager for Easton Porter, a hospitality group located in Downtown Charleston, S.C.

    Passionate About? Martim is passionate about people. He loves hearing about their backgrounds, life stories, goals, and aspirations, and uses finance as a tool to help them achieve those dreams.

    Spencer Schulz - Financial Advisor:

    How long with NM? 6 years

    Prior Experience? Spencer was a Northwestern Mutual college intern prior to joining the full-time career. He also earned an NCAA Championship for the Rowing team at The University of Washington during his college career.

    Passionate About? Spencer is passionate about traveling and experiencing different cultures with his wife, Hailey, and their pup, Winnie. He also loves competing in marathons and enjoying great food, delicious wine, and coffee!

    Daniel Harris - Field Director and Financial Advisor:

    How long with NM? 5 years

    Prior Experience? After playing college golf at Newbury College, Danny played professionally on several mini tours and in nationwide tour events. He later transitioned into a tech sales role in Charleston, S.C., gaining experience in software solutions.

    Passionate About? Danny is passionate about his family and helping clients make strategic financial decisions that will positively impact their lives.

    Kirsten Bethea - Financial Advisor:

    Prior Experience? Prior to Northwestern Mutual, Kirsten taught high school English.

    Jenny Phillips – Financial Advisor:

    How long with NM? 7 years

    Prior Experience? Prior to Northwestern Mutual, Jenny was in the healthcare industry, specializing in pharmaceutical account management. She also has a background in agricultural commodity sales. Jenny is also a former NCAA swimmer from the University of Illinois.

    Passionate About? Jenny is passionate about helping entrepreneurs, sports and entertainment professionals and business owners optimize their dollars by leveraging tax efficient planning!

    Tom Perez - Financial Advisor:

    How long with NM? 5 years

    Prior Experience? Tom proudly served 28 years in the Navy (active and reserve) and is a veteran of the War in Afghanistan. Following his retirement from the Navy, Tom worked for the Department of Defense and later as a business development consultant for defense industry, prior to joining NM.

    Passionate About? Tom is passionate about his family and being a good father. He is also passionate about his faith and working within his church to help his community. He is also deeply passionate about fitness and his career, helping his clients achieve their goals and dreams.

    About the Financial Representative Role:

    As a Financial Representative at Northwestern Mutual, you will be part of a team that helps individuals and businesses achieve their financial goals through personalized insurance solutions and financial planning. Your role involves building long-term relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs, and providing tailored financial solutions.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Client Consultation: Engage with clients to understand their financial goals, aspirations, and concerns.

    Financial Planning: Develop comprehensive financial plans that include investments, insurance, and retirement.

    Insurance Solutions: Recommend and implement insurance strategies to protect clients' assets and income.

    Ongoing Support: Monitor clients' financial plans and provide regular updates, adjusting strategies as needed to meet changing circumstances.

    Networking: Build and maintain a network of clients through referrals, community involvement, and professional associations.

    Qualifications:

    Education: A bachelor's degree is preferred.

    Experience: Previous experience in financial services, insurance or business development is beneficial but not required.

    Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to build trust and rapport with clients.

    Licenses: Obtain necessary licenses, such as Series 6, 63, and state insurance licenses (training and sponsorship available).
