  • Responsibilities

    PRIMARY FUNCTION

    This role is essential to our credit union's success, as you will assist new and existing members with their immediate, short-term, and long-term financial goals. You will provide exceptional service and problem-solving, combining member services, account opening functions, and consumer lending. This dynamic position also includes welcoming members, acting as a financial services consultant, and performing teller transactions.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assist members face-to-face, by telephone, or online by determining their needs and providing prompt guidance.
    • Promote the Credit Union's products and services.
    • Participate in branch sales and promotion programs.
    • Accept, review, and log various applications and distribute them to the appropriate department.
    • Open new accounts and explain Credit Union services and benefits to new members, providing all required disclosures.
    • Interview members to determine loan qualifications per policy, assembling loan details within established guidelines.
    • Submit completed loan applications exceeding authorized limits to Branch Manager, Operations Officer, or CEO for approval.
    • Review loan decisions with members, including loan amounts, interest rates, payment schedules, and any reasons for loan denial.
    • Prepare adverse action forms in compliance with regulations.
    • Set up automated loan repayment systems through direct deposit, allotment, or recurring entries.
    • Ensure loan packets are completed per auditing guidelines and policy.
    • Assist with teller duties as needed or required.
    • Maintain confidentiality and security of all member information.
    • Other duties and tasks as assigned by the supervisor or management team.
