Role: Finastra Technical Consultant
Location: San Antonio, Texas (Onsite)- Locals Only
Duration: 12+ Months on C2C
Relevant Experience: 13+ Years
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate deep understanding and hands-on experience with Finastra - Summit OTC derivatives platform.
- Act as a subject matter expert in various OTC products and their lifecycle, including trade processing, settlements, and regulatory reporting.
- Manage and optimize OTC derivatives related workflow, including confirm/affirm process, trade capture, CCPs (Central Counterparties), and ISDA agreements.
- Oversee collateral management activities, including margin calls, collateral agreements, and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to collateral management.
- Work with DTCC Report Hub for regulatory reporting and ensure accurate and timely submissions.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders on regulatory reporting requirements and implementations.
- Provide technical consultation and support to internal teams, clients, and stakeholders on Finastra Summit OTC derivatives platform.
- Assist in troubleshooting technical issues, analyzing system performance, and implementing solutions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and training materials for Finastra Summit platform.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for internal staff and clients on platform functionalities and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, and project managers, to ensure successful project delivery.
- Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies on platform-related matters.
- Proficiency in PL/SQL for Oracle and T-SQL for MS SQL Server, including stored procedures, triggers, and database optimizations.
- Demonstrate deep understanding and hands-on experience with Finastra Summit, particularly in its customization using Java, C#, or Finastra's proprietary scripting language.
- Experience with web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks - Angular, React.
- Experience in integrating financial systems using APIs, web services, and messaging protocols (RESTful APIs, SOAP, JMS).
- Skills in data analysis, data modeling, and reporting tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar BI tools.
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git for code repository management and collaboration.
- Experience working in Agile software development methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and user story management.
- Proficiency in documentation tools such as Confluence & SharePoint for maintaining project documentation and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
- 13+ years of hands-on experience with Finastra - Summit OTC derivatives platform in a techno functional role.
- Expertise in OTC derivatives products and their lifecycle, OTC derivatives workflow, confirm/affirm process, trade capture, CCPs, ISDA agreements, DTCC Report Hub, collateral management, margin calls, and regulatory reporting.
- Good Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the financial services industry.
