Job Summary
Servers at Eddie & Vinny’s deliver exceptional hospitality by providing attentive, knowledgeable, and personalized service to ensure an unforgettable dining experience for every guest.
Responsibilities: As a Server you will be expected to (but are not limited to the following):
Server Responsibilities at Eddie & Vinny’s:
Greet guests warmly, guide them through the menu, and make personalized recommendations.
Provide attentive and efficient service, ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
Take accurate food and beverage orders, relay them to the kitchen and bar, and deliver items promptly.
Maintain detailed knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and daily specials.
Upsell menu items, cocktails, and wines to enhance the guest experience and drive sales.
Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and dietary restrictions with professionalism and care.
Process payments accurately, including handling cash, credit cards, and gift certificates.
Set up, clean, and maintain tables and service areas before, during, and after shifts.
Monitor guest satisfaction, anticipate needs, and address any concerns or issues promptly.
Collaborate with team members and management to maintain smooth service and resolve challenges.
Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
Assist with side work, including stocking supplies, polishing glassware, and resetting tables.
Participate in team meetings, tastings, and training sessions to stay informed and maintain high standards.
Represent Eddie & Vinny’s brand with professionalism, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of serving experience in a high-volume, upscale or fine-dining restaurant preferred.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of food, wine, and cocktail pairings, as well as fine-dining service standards.
Customer Service Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for hospitality.
Professionalism: Polished appearance, positive attitude, and ability to remain composed under pressure.
Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with coworkers and support a team-oriented environment.
Organization: Strong attention to detail, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting.
Flexibility: Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Compliance: Commitment to adhering to food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines.
Licensing: Must have or be willing to obtain required food handler and alcohol service certifications.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
The work that servers do is both physically and mentally demanding. They are on their feet much of the time. Servers must work well under pressure and exercise tact and patience when dealing with employees and customers.
