We are seeking experienced and highly skilled Finish Carpenters specializing in custom and luxury woodworking projects. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to bring intricate design visions to life with precision. This role involves working on high-end residential and commercial properties, creating custom cabinetry, trim, molding, doors, and other specialty woodwork.

Pay rate: $25.00/hr-$35.00/hr (depending on experience)

Location: Indianapolis, IN 46237

Hours: Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Custom Woodworking: Create bespoke wood pieces, including custom cabinetry, built-ins, moldings, staircases, doors, paneling, and high-end trim work.
• Interpretation of Designs: Work closely with designers, architects, and clients to interpret and implement luxury design concepts and ensure the highest standards of craftsmanship.
• Material Selection and Management: Select, prepare, and handle a variety of high-end materials (e.g., exotic hardwoods, veneers, and specialty finishes).
• Precision Work: Perform highly detailed, precise, and clean carpentry work, ensuring flawless joints, finishes, and overall craftsmanship.
• Installation: Install custom woodwork components with an emphasis on proper fit, alignment, and finish, ensuring that all work is aesthetically pleasing and functional.
• Custom Finishes: Apply premium finishes, stains, and paints, including specialty techniques like hand-finishing, antiquing, or glazing, to enhance the beauty of wood surfaces.
• Collaboration and Communication: Coordinate with contractors, project managers, and other tradespeople to ensure smooth workflow and timely project completion.
• Client Satisfaction: Ensure that all custom woodwork meets the client's specifications and exceeds their expectations in terms of both quality and design.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a finish carpenter, with a portfolio of high-end, custom woodworking projects.
• Expertise in luxury wood finishes, advanced joinery techniques, and intricate carpentry skills.
• Strong knowledge of various wood species and finishes, including the ability to adapt to unique design requests.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, design drawings, and technical specifications.
• Proficient with carpentry tools and equipment, including power tools, saws, sanders, and finishers.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing flawless, top-quality work.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions independently when necessary.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clients, designers, and other tradespeople.
• High school diploma or equivalent; carpentry apprenticeship or vocational training is a plus.
• Ability to work in a variety of environments, including homes under construction, renovation sites, and luxury commercial spaces.
