FINISHING DEPARTMENT SUPERVISOR
Busby Cabinets, a premier custom cabinetry and millwork manufacturer, seeks an experienced Finishing Supervisor to lead its finishing department. We specialize in high-end, custom cabinetry for luxury residential projects across Florida, offering a collaborative environment focused on innovation, precision, and quality.
About the Role
The Finishing Supervisor oversees all finishing operations, including scheduling, quality control, team leadership, and process improvements. This role requires expertise in wood finishing techniques, equipment, and leadership to ensure showroom-quality results.
Responsibilities
Team ManagementLead and supervise the finishing team with training, guidance, and feedback.
Plan workloads, manage schedules, and ensure proper staffing.
Maintain a positive, safe, and team-oriented work environment.
Track performance, address issues, and coordinate disciplinary actions with HR.
Ensure finished cabinets meet high standards for color, texture, and durability.
Conduct quality checks, inspect for defects, and implement improvements.
Develop and refine SOPs for efficiency and quality.
Align finishing schedules with production timelines.
Manage inventory and maintain equipment.
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and chemical handling guidelines.
Monitor performance, implement process improvements, and reduce waste.
Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and finishing techniques.
Lead training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
Required: 2+ years in a supervisory role, expertise in wood finishing techniques, leadership and troubleshooting skills, understanding of wood materials, finishes, and chemical safety standards.
Preferred: Experience in high-end finishing (cabinets, furniture, millwork), lean manufacturing, automated finishing equipment, and chemical handling certifications.

Compensation & Schedule
Pay: Competitive, based on experience.
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM (10-hour shifts). Occasional overtime as needed.
