    Position: Fire Alarm Installation Technician

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Diagnose system malfunctions of fire alarms and adjust, repair, or replace equipment as needed to bring into compliance.
    • Prepare accurate and timely service tickets and reports.
    • Work independently or supervise others as required.
    • Complete documentation associated with fire alarm services provided.
    • Provide customer service, coordination, and communication.

    What You Bring:

    • Proven experience as a fire alarm installation technician.
    • In-depth knowledge of fire alarm systems and related equipment.
    • Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Commitment to safety standards and protocols.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • NICET certifications a plus, but not required.
    • Installation experience and prior construction experience a plus.
    • Diagnosis and troubleshooting skills of commercial low voltage systems.
    • Positive and respectful attitude to maintain good working relationships with management staff, employees, vendors, and customers.
    • Competent computer skills.

    Education and Experience:

    • Field electrical and/or electronic practical experience required.
    • AA degree in electronics preferred, but not required, or equivalent technical/Military school supplemented with 3-5 years of related industry experience is a plus.
    • Valid driver’s license.
    • Able to obtain Maryland and Virginia security technician licenses as required.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Physically able to climb overhead or crawl under spaces to complete jobs.
    • Willing to work at heights.
    • Able to operate electrical tools.
    • Able to differentiate color coding of cables.
    • Able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
