Position: Texas Fire Extinguisher Technician
DFW Fire is searching for entry level fire extinguisher technicians. We are seeking ambitious individuals looking to embark on the endless opportunities of a new career in the fire protection industry. The fire protection industry is one with a long history of stability and innovation. This position is essentially an apprenticeship. Our team would take the time to educate and mentor our apprentices through hands-on training in the workplace to prepare them to take their licensing exams, and eventually, move into a field service position upon receiving their industry license. We have immediate openings in the Dallas-Fort Worth region.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Perform inspections, maintenance and repair of fire and safety equipment, to include but not limited to: portable fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, panic doors, in accordance with applicable NFPA codes, state codes and regulations and manufacturer requirements.
Complete related inspection reports and other work order documents pertaining to services rendered and job status
Perform surveys and visual inspection of customer locations in order to provide detailed information that results in job estimates and customer proposals
Attend periodic training programs for our equipment manufacturers and will become certified under the Safety Control, LLC. name
Communicate with the office and service manager pertaining to their schedule and progress throughout the day
Communicate to the customer what their specific needs are as well as their findings post-inspection and prior to repair
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor in the workplace and on the job
Qualifications:
A valid driver's license (required)
The ability to complete and pass a criminal background check and fingerprinting, which will allow you to obtain your Texas fire extinguisher apprentice permit issued by the Texas State Fire Marshal's Office (required)
Must possess a clean driving record (required)
Basic hand tool and mechanical knowledge and experience (required)
