Job Summary:
The Fire Safety First Fire Sprinkler Inspector L1 is responsible for conducting inspections, tests, and maintenance checks of fire sprinkler systems in various types of buildings. They ensure that these systems are operational, well-maintained, and in compliance with local, state, and national fire safety codes and standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Conducts regular inspections of fire sprinkler systems to verify their functionality and compliance. Performs tests, including flow tests, alarm tests, and hydraulic calculations, to ensure system readiness.
· Inspects all components of fire sprinkler systems, including pipes, valves, sprinkler heads, pumps, and alarm devices, for signs of wear, corrosion, damage, or obstructions.
· Maintains accurate records of all inspection findings, tests, maintenance activities, and repairs. Documents compliance and any identified deficiencies or corrective actions.
· Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on fire sprinkler systems. Replaces damaged or worn components and troubleshoot and repair system issues as needed.
· Ensures that all inspection and maintenance activities adhere to local, state, and national fire safety codes, regulations, and industry standards. Addresses non-compliance issues promptly.
· Generates detailed inspection reports and documentation, summarizing inspection findings, recommendations, and compliance status. Provides reports to clients and building owners.
· Interacts with clients, building owners, managers, and occupants to communicate inspection results, repair needs, and recommendations for improving fire safety.
· Is available for emergency repair calls and responds promptly to restore fire sprinkler system functionality during critical situations.
· Stays updated on the latest developments in fire sprinkler technology, safety codes, and regulations. Participates in ongoing training and professional development.
· Adheres to all company employment policies and safe practices, specifically CAL OSHA and safety measures related to work.
Experience/Training/Education:
· High school diploma or equivalent (relevant certifications, such as NICET Level I or II, state fire sprinkler licenses, and manufacturer-specific certifications, may be required).
· Proven experience as a Fire Sprinkler Inspector, typically with at least 2-5 years of experience in fire sprinkler system inspections and maintenance.
· Clean driving record (will travel 80% of the time)
· Strong knowledge of fire safety codes, regulations, and industry standards.
· Mechanical and technical skills for inspecting and testing fire sprinkler systems and associated equipment
· Ability to utilize hand tools
Mechanical aptitude a plus
Solid verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite
Capable of performing physical labor, carry equipment and tools up to 75-90 lbs
Capable of walking, climbing, and moderate physical activity
The ideal candidate will have a good positive attitude, be self-motivated, accurate, detail-oriented, organized, and trustworthy
Once trained, ability to work independently without supervision

Full-time, on-site, Monday - Friday
40 hours a week
