We seek a Firmware Engineer with 3 to 5 years of experience to join our team in San Diego. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in embedded systems and firmware development and a passion for driving technical excellence. As part of our engineering team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop, test, and deploy firmware for next-generation devices in our industry.
Type of role: Part-Time, Contract with a strong possibility to extend to full-time and long-term.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test firmware for embedded systems, focusing on ioT wearables and devices and robotics and automation.
- Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to integrate and optimize firmware solutions.
- Debug and troubleshoot firmware issues, ensuring quality and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews and implement best practices for code quality and maintenance.
- Document firmware designs, test procedures, and results.
- Contribute to the development and execution of test plans for product validation.
Qualifications:
- Experience with wearables, and/or Robotics & automation, and/or IoT connected devices / consumer devices
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in firmware or embedded systems engineering.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and familiarity with Python or other scripting languages.
- Located in San Diego, hybrid schedule available.
- Experience in physical testing and product iteration.
