    Job Description

    We are seeking an Operations Specialist to work in the company's Retirement Administration Department which processes transactions for several union retirement plans, including salary deferrals, distributions, loans, earnings and dividends. The Operations Specialist will also perform daily trading of retirement assets and create reporting based on the same. Additionally, this position has frequent client and plan participant interaction via phone and email. Essential Functions: 1. Distribution and loan processing. 2. Retirement contribution processing. 3. Answer incoming phone calls and email inquiries from plan participants and employers. 4. Daily trading and reconciliation. 5. Monthly and quarterly fee processing. 6. Retirement plan accounting. 7. Create reports on funds, trades, and other projects. 8. Enter and update employee benefits records. 9. Prepare and assemble annual retirement plan reports. 10. Assist with 5500 and other tax form preparation as needed. 11. Data entry in compliance software. 12. Plan board of trustee meetings as needed. 13. Performs various clerical tasks. 14. Assists Management as needed. 15. Special projects and other misc. duties as necessary and/or assigned. Required Education, Experience, and Licensing: 1. Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or other relevant field of study. Two years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a degree. 2. Knowledge of employee benefits and/or 401k plans preferred. 3. Previous experience in 401k administration is a strong plus. 4. Attention to detail is a must. 5. Some finance or accounting experience. 6. Customer service experience is also highly desirable.
